From packing your box to delivery in Europe, here's exactly what to do.
Start by sorting your items by category. We recommend using plastic boxes for fragile items (glass, ceramics, electronics) and sturdy cardboard boxes for clothing, books, and non-fragile items. Don't reuse weak or damaged boxes — strong packaging means safer arrival.
Fill any empty spaces inside the box with air cushion film, bubble wrap, packing paper, or even soft clothing. The goal is to prevent items from shifting during transit. A well-packed box can survive a much longer journey than a half-empty one.
Seal the box with quality packing tape on the top and bottom — at least three strips on each side. For extra protection on long sea journeys, you can wrap the entire box with stretch film (the kind movers use). This adds water resistance and prevents accidental opening.
Each package has a minimum chargeable weight: 10 lbs for air shipments and 20 lbs for sea shipments. Every country has a maximum weight per package — check the country-specific calculator for the exact limit. Heavier boxes often cost less per pound, up to the maximum.
You don't need to write or print anything on the box. When you bring the package to our Chicago location, we'll create the proper shipping label with the recipient's full address, your contact info, and a tracking number — at no extra cost.
Just bring us the recipient's full name, complete address (with postal code), and phone number — either written down or in a text/email. We'll handle the rest.
Drop off your packages at 3354 W Bryn Mawr Ave, Chicago, IL 60659. We're open Monday–Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. No appointment needed — just walk in. If you can't make it to Chicago, contact us about pickup options in the Chicago area, or arrange shipping to us from elsewhere in the US.
At drop-off we accept cash, check, or card. If you prefer to pay later, you can also use our online payment page with Square or PayPal.
You'll receive a tracking number for every shipment. Air packages typically arrive in 7–20 days, while sea shipments take 4–7 weeks. Your recipient will be contacted before delivery to coordinate a convenient time. All shipments are insured for free — peace of mind included.
